You’re right, most people have no idea how long they have to wash their hands to actually get them clean. I heard a tip on Oprah a few years ago, and I’ve never forgotten it: the length of time you wash your hands (with soap, of course, it’s amazing how many people don’t use soap!) should be equal to the amount of time it takes you to sing ‘Happy Birthday’. Try that next time; it seems like a long time!
